ECOIL ENERGY COMPANY LIMITED
ECOil Group’s Technical Development Team has been researching the possibilities regarding the Pellet market and Alternative energy production from by-products of several industries and associated waste.
This research has mainly been focusing on pellet production from raw materials, such as horse manure and from the pressing mass that is left from Palm oil producing factories around South‐East Asia as production waste.
As a result, ECOil Energy Company Limited was founded in 2008 to research, develop and manage Bio Mass and Waste to Energy projects in Thailand and other countries in the South-East Asian region.
BIO MASS
As the Palm oil manufacturers are pressing the fruits of the palms, approximately 30% of the initial mass of the raw material is considered as a by-product or waste. This mass is partly burned, used as animal feed, planting base in plantations and partly just transported to landfill areas.
After developing a new system and technology of drying and pressing the fruit bunches, 100% of the initial mass (excluding the water that is dehumidified) can be used with in an environmentally friendly way for energy creation.
This means that it is possible to design a palm oil production concept that will not create any waste from the production process and will also be independent from outside energy sources as it will be producing the energy needed from within the process itself.
ECOil Energy Company is currently working to launch its first Pellet- and Palm oil factory near the city of Krabi, in the Southern part of Thailand.
RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY CREATION PLANT
ECOil Energy commenced negotiations with The Royal Thai Government officials in September 2009, in order to develop a sustainable electricity factory as a joint venture project in Thailand.
The main goal of the project is to be part of the ambitious Government Program to produce 8% of the country’s total electricity from renewable sources by 2012. At the moment this figure is standing at 0.5%.
ECOil Energy Company is negotiating with both, local and European partners to jointly operate and manage this project.
THAILAND
Thailand is currently facing a large challenge with the country’s growing energy use.
At the moment 74% of the Kingdom’s electricity is created from natural gas, that has been forecasted to run out within the following 10 to 15 years.
Because of this, the government had in 1994 introduced a support program to encourage private companies to start producing electricity for the needs of the country.
In 2009 the government introduced a new plan, in accordance to the public and international environment standards/ restrictions, to start seriously supporting the production of “Green Energy”.
This plan includes several extensive subsidies and therefore offers an interesting business and investment opportunity for ECOil Energy and Ikaros Group Corporation.
